A perfect replica of a full-sized gate-leg table (the gate leg is what allows this to fold down almost flat!) just smaller in size! Can't you just see this with a bird's nest and little birds under a cloche? Or perhaps an arrangement of an old pocketwatch with some vintage ephemera and maybe a pair of old reading glasses all under a cloche (or not)? The finish on this table is completely hand-done in a super soft tone of vintage-y beige/sage/cream with a crackled finish on the tabletop. Don't be afraid to add your own creative touch to the tabletop over the crackle finish! We can even see bits of antique book pages decoupaged on top, or try some of our Vintage-style Bird Rub-on Transfers or our Vintage-style Transferware Flowers Rub-on Transfers just around the edge of the tabletop! Also, with the use of either decorative napkins or paper cheese leaves (or a piece of glass to fit) this would make a super-unusual dessert/cake/food pedestal! Obviously, you won't want to place the food directly onto the painted surface, but with some form of protection between the wood and the food, it can be done! When not in use (but when would that ever be?) the little table folds down almost flat (as seen in the photo). Due to the handcrafted/painted nature of the finish, no two are exactly alike, mainly with regard to the crackle treatment, but this is natural when doing that type of finish.
