These are funky, unusual ceramic hands procured from a now defunct (10 years ago) glove factory. They were actually used to make gloves, so no, they are not 'hot off the presses' of a home decor manufacture's assembly line. They are numbered and coded by what size the glove was to be, and the hands vary slightly in size (VERY slightly - almost imperceptably) and not all numbers/letters printed on the hands are the same. Remember, these are not fresh from the buyer's market - each one is unique, so we appreciate you letting us choose one for you. They stand almost 16" tall by approximately 4" wide and although they are hollow inside, they are still quite heavy! These are very well-made and make such a statement! The ceramic is beautifully glazed in soft white and the lettering/numbers are in green. They make wonderful necklace holders! (YOU CAN PURCHASE ANY OF THE PENDANTS SHOWN ON IT ABOVE BY CLICKING HERE!) Or, they look incredible along with other vintage-y type things (old keys, vintage postcards, etc.) in a table vignette. Naturally, due to their source, our supply is very limited and we will not be able to restock them when they sell out. Brand new reproduction hands with much less character sell for about the same price so this is a fabby deal -- HANDS down! |
